Warbirds Over Wanaka is a ‘bucket-list’ event for lovers of airshows and/or a fantastic family day out. With up to 100 display aircraft there’s something for everyone from the mighty WWII Spitfire through to modern day fighter jets. All set against a backdrop of the mighty Southern Alps mountain range.
The flying is complimented by stunning pyrotechnics and extensive ground displays including a look at the Future of Aviation. Late on the Friday afternoon the action moves from Wanaka Airport to the Wanaka lakefront for a free aerial display over the water. A wondeful weekend for all the family.
