Wao is once again on the look out for volunteers for their annual Summit from 29 October to 2 November!
29/10/2024 - 04/11/2024

About

The Wao Summit is a five day event involving kōrero, masterclasses, tours and community festivals across Wānaka and Queenstown. The focus is on community action around resilience and regeneration, collaboration, better building, and climate action and biodiversity. Wao has multiple roles available for volunteers who are keen to help them in these efforts.

Whether you can help in one or many areas, they would love to hear from you.

Roles include ticketing, general event support, food and beverage service, and host duties.

All volunteers will receive training during an induction where you will get to meet other volunteers and be welcomed to the WAO team!

Why volunteer with WAO?

  • Enjoy festival perks and increase your knowledge of sustainability (volunteer for two or more events and you’ll receive a full festival pass!)
  • Learn about festival operations
  • Enjoy working in a team of motivated volunteers
  • Meet others in the community who are passionate about sustainability
  • Do your part to raise awareness of sustainable practice

Requirements

  • No prior experience is required as training will be provided for all roles
  • You are someone who enjoys working in a team in an energetic festival environment
  • As you will be a representative of Wao, please dress appropriately, and speak and maintain respectful behaviour.
