Join Friends of Bullock Creek every Thursday for a planting and restoration session at the Stone Street wetlands.
11th December 2025 - 26th March 2026

Bullock Creek is the lifeblood of Wānaka, a rare spring-fed creek of exceptional purity that flows through our urban environment. Protecting Bullock Creek and the wetland involves preventing damaging stormwater run-off, removing exotic weeds, and replanting native plants along its banks.

This ‘riparian planting’ helps reduce the erosion of the riverbanks, provides shelter and shade for plants, animals and fish, and helps clean the water that flows into Lake Wānaka.

When: every Thursday 9am-11am

Where: Bullock Creek Wetlands, 107 Stone Street

What to bring: BYO gloves if you have them. All other equipment provided.

Register: please register with Paul here to confirm your time

*Please note we’re taking a break over Christmas / New Year from 3rd Dec to 3rd Jan. Back weekly on Thursdays after that!
