Join Friends of Bullock Creek every Thursday for a planting and restoration session at the Stone Street wetlands.
23/1/2025 - 24/4/2025

Bullock Creek is the lifeblood of Wānaka, a rare spring-fed creek of exceptional purity that flows through our urban environment. Protecting Bullock Creek and the wetland involves preventing damaging stormwater run-off, removing exotic weeds, and replanting native plants along its banks.

This ‘riparian planting’ helps reduce the erosion of the riverbanks, provides shelter and shade for plants, animals and fish, and helps clean the water that flows into Lake Wānaka.

When: every Thursday 10-12 or 2pm-4pm

Where: Bullock Creek Wetlands, 107 Stone Street

What to bring: BYO gloves if you have them. All other equipment provided.

Register: please register with Paul via the number above.

NB: please note that FOBC will take a break over Christmas; the last session for 2024 will be on Thursday 12th December, and the team will be back in action on 23rd January.
