What to bring:
Join WAI Wānaka for a community beach clean-up and microplastic sampling event at The Outlet on Lake Wānaka. Help remove litter from the riverbank and trails and take part in microplastic sampling to better understand impacts on our waterways.
This is citizen science in action – rubbish will be collected and recorded in the Sustainable Coastlines Litter Intelligence Database.
Come along to enjoy the outdoors, make a difference, and warm up with a hot drink afterwards.
All welcome! Tamariki / children must be accompanied by an adult.
