No matter what type of skier or snowboarder you are, Treble Cone (or ‘TC’ as the locals call it) offers an unforgettable New Zealand snow experience.
From the moment you ride off the top of the chair lift and take in the stunning views over Lake Wānaka and the Southern Alps, it’s easy to see why Treble Cone has earned such a loyal following amongst locals and return holiday-makers.
From wide open powder faces to challenging gullys and steep chutes, TC’s legendary off-piste terrain is bound to delight experienced pow-hunters within the boundaries of a patrolled and protected ski area.
The massive 700m of vertical at Treble Cone allows for some of the longest groomed trails in New Zealand over 4 large basins, so there’s plenty of terrain to explore within 550 snowy hectares.
For beginner skiers and snowboarders, Treble Cone’s learner’s area is conveniently located beside the base lodge where the cafe, toilets, ticket office, rental area, medical centre and retail shop are all within easy reach. Private lessons are available so you can sharpen your skills 1-on-1 with a top level snowsports instructor.
Treble Cone is the closest ski area to Wānaka, just 30 minutes’ drive through some of the region’s most spectacular scenery. There is a scheduled transport service that leaves Wānaka daily and a free mountain shuttle bus from the bottom of the mountain road.
Day and multi-day lift passes are available and are open dated throughout the season. Multi-days can also be used at Cardrona Alpine Resort.
