Lake Wānaka Tourism

As our delivery partner, Lake Wānaka Tourism connects us with our local business community and our visitor audience, champions the initiative across their platforms, and provides the support we need to do what we do best.

Love Wānaka was the first project to come to life from our region’s newly adopted Destination Management Plan – Travel to a Thriving Future.

The DMP is led by Destination Southern Lakes, and is delivered in partnership with Lake Wānaka Tourism and Destination Queenstown.

Wakatipu Community Foundation

Love Wānaka and Love Queenstown (our joint initiative over the hill) are delivered in partnership with the Wakatipu Community Foundation (WCF) – a donor driven charitable trust that supports localised philanthropy in our region. The Foundation was integral to the development of Love Wānaka and Love Queenstown

A portion of all funds raised are invested into an endowment fund with support from WCF – ensuring Love Wānaka creates long-term, substantial funding opportunities into the future.

Wakatipu Community Foundation is a registered charity in New Zealand (CC55258).

Impact Partners

This collective of businesses give 1% of their proceeds or a generous donation of $10,000 or more on an annual basis, and use their channels to inspire meaningful action.
