Love Wanaka and Love Queenstown (our joint initiative over the hill) are delivered in partnership with the Wakatipu Community Foundation – a donor driven charitable trust that supports localised philanthropy right here in our region.
The Foundation was integral to the development of Love Wānaka and Love Queenstown, and continues to support these initiatives in an advisory capacity and as our key charitable partner. Lake Wānaka Tourism and Destination Queenstown are responsible for the development of the brand, marketing, and fundraising approach, whilst the Community Foundation provides high-level advice, ensures all compliance and audit requirements are met, and that charitable intent is embodied throughout all processes and funding decisions.
A portion of all funds raised are invested into an endowment fund with support from the Community Foundation – ensuring Love Wānaka creates long-term, substantial funding opportunities into the future.
